The Rev. Roy Katayama, former Hillsboro Minister was in charge of the funeral services of George Daniel Houser, 76, who died Tuesday night at a state hospital in Evansville. The service was held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 10:30 a.m. Those serving as pall bearers were: John Houser, Harry Hutson, HI Starnes, Robert House, Claude Harding and Harry Gray. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery west of Hillsboro.

George Daniel Houser, 76 a former resident of Hillsboro died at the State Hospital in Evansville where he had been a patient for 45 years, Tuesday evening according to a message received by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Houser of Hillsboro. The body was brought to the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro where a short service was conducted by Rev. Kenneth Vetters, pastor of the local Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial was in Rockfield cemetery west of Hillsboro. Mr. Houser was the son of James R. and Frances Harding Houser born on a farm south of Hillsboro on March 11, 1878.  He was never married and was the last survivor of a family of three sons, his brothers, Martyn and John Houser preceding him in death.  He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Ethel Houser and by nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church near Hillsboro.
