Lawrence V. "Bud" Hoskins, 56, 2411 Apache Drive, Lafayette, died at 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, in Home Hospital. He had been hospitalized this time for eight days and had been ill since April. He was born June 4, 1930, in Kramer. He was reared in Lafayette and spent most of his life there. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years abd was last employed at Mohr Construction Co. in Kokomo. He was married Jan. 7, 1955, in Indianapolis, to Dorothy J. Wood, who survives. He was a 25-year member of International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 103. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Vicki L. Kallenberger and Mrs. Rusty (Beth) Pitner, both of Lafayette; a son, Lawrence G. Hoskins, Dayton; one sister, Mrs. Judy McCord Rice; two brothers, Herschel "Gene" Hoskins and Herman Hoskins, all of Lafayette, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Soller-Baker Lafayette Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Sharp officiating. Burial was in Dayton Cemetery.
