Beulah Rae Horner, 89, died at 2 p. m. Monday, July 28, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Jeannette) Keller, Route 1, Covington. She made her home with her daughter since 1983. She was born April 18, 1897, in Iowa, the daughter of Charles Marion and Elizabeth Ann Henry Christy. She married Clarence D. Horner Oct. 5, 1921. He died April 4, 1970. She was a former resident of Brownell, Kan., for 25 years, and a former resident of Tillamook, Ore. She was a member of the Brownell United Methodist Church, Frank Stull American Legion Auxiliary 152 in Ness City, Kan., and a 50-year member of the McCracken Chapter 261 OES, McCracken, Kan. Surviving are a son, Keith W. Horner, Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Jeannette Keller, Route 1, Covington; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, a brother and a grandson. Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. today (Friday) at Brownell, Kan. United Methodist Church. Burial was in Brownell Cemetery. Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, was in charge of local arrangements.
