Wingate -- Oliver Owen Hopper, 74, died Wednesday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock (CDT) at his farm home, three miles southwest of here, where he had resided the past 54 years of his life. He had been ill since March with uremic poisoning. Born Sept. 3 1877 in Fountain county, he was the son of Columbus and America Martin Hopper. He married Anna May Miller on Nov. 6, 1897, at Veedersburg. He was a member of the Wingate Christian church. Surviving are the widow; two sons, Fred of Hammond and Hal G. of Wingate; a sister, Mrs. Emma Henderson, of Windfall and two brothers, Clifford Hopper of Williamsport and Allen H. Hopper of Windfall. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock (CDT) from the Grenard and Servies funeral home in Waynetown. Rev. John R. Servies will be in charge and burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home. --typed by Walt W
