Kentland—Orlee C. Hopkins, 77, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 1989 in Kentland Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 11, 1911 in Kentucky. She had lived in Kentland most of her life and had been a resident of the nursing home for the past 10 years.
She worked as a cook in restaurants before retiring.
Survivors are a son, Kermit, Valparaiso; two daughters, Beverly Beasley, Michigantown, and Virginia Forbes, Glasgow, Ky.; three brothers, Merle Eaton, Joliet, Ill.; Joe Eaton, Salem, Ore., and Ray Eaton, Covington; five sisters, Opal Guffy and Ora Jones, both of Indianapolis; Olive Faletic, Danville, Ind.; May Yost, Hollywood, Fla., and Mary Grant, Elkhart, and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. (CST) Wednesday in McMullan-Stitz Funeral Home, Kentland, with Alfred Bahler officiating. Burial was in Wolcott Cemetery. – thanks to S
