Covington, Ind. (CNS) - William H. Hoover, 69, Covington Route 3, died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday (Oct. 15, 1966) at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where he had been a patient since Oct. 11 because of a heart attack. Born June 18, 1897, in Iroquois County, Ill., he was the son of Michael and Julia Nice Hoover. He was married Feb. 11, 1918, to Hazel L. Morgan, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Donald W. of Davenport, Iowa, and Rolland of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Mrs. Alice Howell of Onarga, Ill., three daughters, Mrs. Julia Mashino and Ethel Bower, both of Morocco, Ind., and Mrs. Edith Sipe of Lake Village, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, and two sisters. Mr. Hoover was a member of the First Church of Christ in Covington. As a mechanic, he owned and operated a machine shop in Kentland, Ind., and since 1947 he had been a farmer in the Veedersburg and Covington areas. He had resided at the Route 3 address for 17 years. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Morocco, with the Rev. August Stork officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at Morocco. The body is at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here where friends may call Monday afternoon and evening. The body will be taken to the Methodist Church in Morocco at noon Tuesday where friends may call before the 2:30 service. --waw
