HOOKER, Ernest - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ernest H. Hooker of Columbia City, age 71, died in Whitley County Memorial Hospital. He was born at Perth, the son of George and Laura Sanders Hooker. He was married to Mary Simmons, who survives. Hooker was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and was a retired carpenter and maintenance man.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Russell of Columbia City and Donna Jones of Macon, Georgia; five brothers, James of Kingman, Benjamin, Eugene, Robert and Earl, all of Terre Haute; four sisters, Irene Rawley of West Terre Haute, Laura Guess of Terre Haute, Dorothy Fields of Decatur, Illinois, and Mary Mahoney of Leslie, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the United Pentecostal Church in Fort Wayne and burial was in Hope Cemetery at Columbia City. – thanks to S
