COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS)— Lewis VanLeer Holycross, 94, a life resident of the Covington community, died at 11:15 p. m. Friday (March 13, 1959) at his home in Covington. He had been seriously ill two weeks. Born June 25, 1864 in Vermillion County, Ind., he was the son of Edward and Martha Ballah Holycross. He was married Sept. 6, 1893 to Mary Lenora Goudy, who preceded him in death in 1931. Mr. Holycross had been a farmer and retired in 1930. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Holder of Hammond, Ind., Mrs. Nadine Holder and Mrs. Birdella Brakley of Covington, Mrs. Mary Boggs of Veedersburg and Mrs. Eileen Lape of Indianapolis; a son, Richard of Covington; a brother, Manford of Danville Route 5; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was also preceded in death by two daughters and a son. Services will be at 2 p. m. Monday at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Rodger James will officiate, with burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the Funeral Home where friends will be received Saturday evening.  --typed by Walt W

Services for Lewis VanLeer Holycross, 94, a life resident of Covington, who died Friday at his home, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington.  The Rev. Rodger James officiated with burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.  - jz
