Funeral services were held Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home for George M. Holycross, who died Tuesday in Covington at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.E. Shultz. Mr. Holycross was born March 31, 1868 in Vermillion County, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Holycross. He was married to Lillie Belle Sanders, who preceded him in death in 1944.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ed Shultz of Covington; Mrs. Earl Murray of Danville; and Mrs. Perry Carpenter, of Champaign; and two sons, Orville of Indianapolis and Clayton of Danville. --- transcribed by kbz
