Victor A. Holmes, 48, of Covington, Ga., a frequent visitor to Hillsboro, died unexpectedly Sun. May 1, 1977 at an Atlanta, Ga. hospital. Death was due to an apparent heart attack. Born Sept. 4, 1928, at Crawfordsville, he was the son of Lloyd and Eulalia Allen Holmes. On Feb. 8, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo., he married Rosemary Vaeth who survives. He was a graduate of Kemper Military School in Boneville, Mo. He was a licensed surveyor and a member of the Catholic Church in Covington. Other survivors include two sons, Thomas and Victor IV, both of Covington; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel Collins of Colorado Springs; his parents of Colorado Springs; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Lorena) Bymaster of Colorado Springs; an aunt, Miss Helen Allen of Hillsboro; and a grandson. Services and burial were in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Msgr. Henry Ward officiating. Crumley and Williams in charge of local arrangements. --typed by Walt W
