Mrs. June E. Mills Holmes, 78 widow of Fred Holmes formerly of Hillsboro died at Culver Hospital Tuesday evening after having been in failing health for the past two years. She was born in Montgomery County June 26, 1875 the daughter of John and Caroline Yenny Kennedy. She was married to Fred Mills, who preceded her in death in 1917 and later married Fred Holmes who died in 1925. Survivors are one son, Gale Mills of Crawfordsville and two sisters, Mrs. Atlanta Keesee and Rachel Linn, both of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home in Crawfordsville Thursday afternoon with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville. – kbz
