Eulalia (Allen) Holmes, 93, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died March 22, 1996 in Colorado Springs where she been a resident 59 years. She was born July 11, 1902 in Fountain County, the daughter of Harry and Rena (McClure) Allen and grew up in the Hillsboro area. She lived in Warren County before moving to Colorado Springs. She was married to Lloyd V. Holmes in Terre Haute on July 18, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Holmes graduated from Indiana State University. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Nile, the Shriners Ladies and Women's Fellowship of the First Christian Church at Colorado Springs. She is survived by: one daughter, Lorene H. Bymaster of Colorado Springs; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Victor A. Holmes and a sister, Helen Allen of Hillsboro. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Highland Cemetery at Williamsport with Rev. Don Williams officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital at P. O. Box 193, Pueblo, CO 81002. Fisher Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. – jlr
