Waynetown—Russell “Moody” Holman, 76, Waynetown, died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 1989 in Williamsburg Health Care Center, Crawfordsville.
He was born June 18, 1912 northeast of Waynetown, the son of T. M. and Pearl Smith Holman. He was married Jan. 12, 1935 in the home of the Rev. Guy Tremaine, to Ethel Mae Hudson of Alamo, who survives.
He was a 1929 graduate of Waynetown High School. He was a carpenter in his early life and was later employed as a maintenance engineer for the town of Waynetown and took care of all the utilities. He retired in 1971.
He was a member of the Waynetown United Methodist Church.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, James, 2780 W. U.S. 136, Crawfordsville, and John, Route 6, Crawfordsville; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and two nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Revs. Mike Manning and Broten Martin officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks to S
