Covington, Feb 29 (1944) – William I. Holloway, 60, was
fatally injured at his farm home west of here last evening when he fell from a
hay mow to the floor 12’ below. He was found by his son, Pierce who started to
take him to a doctor but the injured man died on the way. Roy T. Goodwin,
Warren County coroner said death was caused by a broken neck. A son of George D. and Nancy E. Hobson
Holloway he was born near Snoddy’s Mill in Fountain County. He married Alta Mae Ramey of Lafayette who
survives with the son, Pierce at home; three brothers, Benjamin of Michigan
City; Otto, Oxford; Walter of Indianapolis and three sisters, Miss Lucy
Holloway of Battle Ground; Mrs. Elsie Ritter of Lafayette and Mrs. Margaret
Dyer, Columbia City. Funeral Thursday at
2 p.m. Crumley Funeral Home. Interment Mount Hope cemetery.
