ATTICA — Betty L. (Dornblaser)
Holloway, 72, 310 E. Jackson St., Attica, died at 7:51 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19,
2002 at her residence. She was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Paris, Ill., the daughter
of Jack and Josephine Landsaw Dornblaser. She married Charles L. Holloway May
18, 1951 in Fountain County. He preceded in death Dec. 19, 1982. She attended
Attica High School and lived most of her life in the Attica community. She
formerly worked for the State of Indiana in the license branch division, where
she had the distinction of being the states first female driver examiner. She
later worked as a sales representative for the Indiana Gas Company, where she
retired. Survivors include: two daughters, Susie (Jim) Peterson, Logansport and
“Peppy” (Steve) Lanie, Williamsport; a sister, Joan (Frank) Miller, Attica; a
niece, Christy Crawford, Attica; five grandchildren, Spencer and Casey
Peterson, Jamie Sanders and Jake and Lyndsey Lanie; three great-grandchildren,
Garrett and Nathan Peterson and Josie Sanders; and a great niece, Joey Cobb.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. Friends
gathered from noon-3 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica. A private
family memorial service was held immediately following the gathering at
Riverside Cemetery, Attica. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be
made to Attica Community Foundation, Park Fund. – jlr
