ATTICA — Mary Louise (Larson)
Hollis, 84, Attica, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at her residence.
She had been in failing health for the past two years. She was born Jan. 9,
1922 near West Point, the daughter of John and Betty (Baker) Larson. She
married Ivan H. Hollis Dec. 10, 1938 in West Lebanon. He preceded in death Oct.
12, 1972. She attended West Point Schools. She lived in the Pine Village area
for several years and had been a resident of the Kramer area since 1971. She
worked at RMC in Attica for 30 years before retiring in January 1986. She was a
member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening,
quilting, embroidering, reading and cooking. Survivors include: six daughters,
Marilyn (Richard) Larson, Williamsport, Betty (William) Keller, Pine Village,
Patricia Hollis, Lafayette, Phyllis (Larry) Byers, West Lebanon, Aileen Hollis,
West Lafayette, and Kathy (Marvin) Overshiner, Lafayette; two sons, William
(Shirley) Hollis, Otterbein and Harold (Lisa) Hollis, Attica; two brothers,
John (Kim) Larson, Dayton and Charles (Phyllis) Larson, Frankfort; a sister,
Mildred Day, Indianapolis; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine step
great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a niece she raised,
Judy Sutton, Knoxville, Tenn. She was also preceded in death by two brothers,
Russell Larson and Harold Larson; three sisters, Myrtle Hinton, Mable Reynolds,
and Lucille Scolley; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Funeral
services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Grady Funeral Home, Williamsport, with
Pastor Kate Walker and the Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Burial was in
Rainsville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mac Van Transportation. – jlr
