March 1943 – A patient at Union Hospital Terre Haute for about four days Joseph Hollingsworth. 66 died of uremic poisoning at 5:15 p.m. Saturday. He was a retired farmer, residing at Cayuga for about 9 years. Born July 6, 1876 in Dana he was the son of Melvin and Hannah Burnett Hollingsworth. In Sept 1896 he was married to Ada Tolley who survives. One son preceded him in death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. The body was taken to the residence Monday morning. Funeral services were held there at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was made in Springhill Cemetery in Danville with Clyde Brown of Montezuma in charge. - kbz
