Harland G. Hogue, 78, Danville, Ill. Died at 10:40 a. m. Saturday, July 19, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born May 11, 1908, in Star Tribune, Attica, Indiana, Tuesday, July 29, 1986 in Mount Vernon, Ill., to George and Mary White Hogue. He married Edith C. Evans, in Covington, in 1927. She died in 1962. He then married Lovilla Dunn in 1966, in Chicago. She survives. He was employed for 42 years at Merchants Delivery as a foreman. He was manager for 15 years. He retired in 1965. He then worked for Overstreet Jewelers for 15 years. He was a member of Teamsters local 26, Danville, and Covington Senior Citizens. His hobbies were playing the violin, gardening and playing in the Senior Citizens Band. Surviving, besides his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Ken (Mary Jane) Nixon, Denver; a stepson, Lee Watson, Danville; four sisters, Sarah Jane Lewis and Lavina Ashby, both of Danville; Eva Lyons, Sacramento, Calif., and Alma Powers, Leavensworth, Han.; a grandson, Michael Nixon, Danville; a granddaughter, Pamela Kay Snedeker, Danville; two stepgranddaughters, Deborah and Rena Jeski, both of Danville; three great-grandchildren, Sean and Shane Boyer and Heather Kay Snedeker, all of Danville. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held at 10 a. m. Saturday at Pape Memorial Home and Gardens. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
