HOFFMAN, Charles - WWI

Charles W. Hoffman, 65 of Attica died Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville.  Born Jan 15, 1894 at Roanoke, Indiana he was the son of Jacob and Ida Gebhardt Hoffman.  He was married April 19, 1930 to Myrta Groves who survives.  Mr. Hoffman was a veteran of WWI and was disabled during the war.  He had been an invalid since that time. Other survivors include two sons, LeRoy Hoffman of Attica and Robert Cox of Attica Rural Route; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Grimes of Attica R Rt and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Shoaf of Warren, Indiana. Services were held Thursday at the DeSutter Funeral Home with burial in Riverside Cemetery. – kbz
