Hillsboro—Edwin Hoffhaus, 71, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday morning, May 29, 1973 at the Cardinal Nursing Home in South Bend. He had been ill for several years.

Born Oct. 23, 1901 at Huntingburg, he was the son of Conrad and Carrie Brior Hoffhaus. In June of 1944, he married Lucille Kerr, who died April 22, 1957.

He was a veteran of the Army in World War II and a retired teacher.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James B. (Helen) Millikin of South Bend; a brother, Gilbert of Huntingburg; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Services were at 1 p.m. Friday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial was in Clear Run Cemetery at Bridgeton. – thanks to S
