Mrs. Nina J. Hodges, 69, of 129 S. Griffin, died at 5:08 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 22, 1975) at Carle Memorial Hospital in Urbana, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had worked as a cashier and telephone operator for the Indiana Bell Telephone Co. in Covington, Ind. After moving to Danville she had worked as a checker in the Grab-It-Here food stores for five years. She was born April 20, 1905, in Covington, the daughter of James A. and Sarah Alward Cotton. She married James E. Hodges Dec. 20, 1953, in Urbana, and he survives. Also surviving is a sister, Laura Wilson of Homosasa Springs, Fla.; a step daughter, Betty Scabowski of Decatur; a stepson, James B. Hodges of Danville; 10 step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She was a member of the 60 Club, the Friendly Club and the Second Church of Christ. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barrick & Son Funeral Home. Tom Bennett will officiate, and burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. --waw
