COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Marjorie
Naomi Hoagland, 56, formerly of Covington, residing in Colorado Springs, Colo.,
died at 6:30 a.m. March 3, 1998 in Pikes Peak Hospice Center, Colorado Springs,
Colo. She was born July 2, 1941 in Covington, the daughter of John and Ruth
Hankins Hoagland. She attended Covington United Methodist Church. She was a
member of the Sunrise United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. She
enjoyed cooking and working word search puzzles. Most of all she loved her
family. Surviving, are: three daughters, Dawn (Pat) Yoho, Eugene; Hope Hines,
Colorado Springs, Colo.; Shelley Richardson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two
granddaughters, Heather Denhart, Eugene; Haley Hines, Colorado Springs, Colo.;
a grandson, Travis Denhart, Eugene; four brothers, John (Lois) Hoagland,
Burgaw, N.C.; George (Lee) Hoagland, Yucca Valley, Calif.; Nathaniel (Eva)
Hoagland, San Diego, Calif.; Harry (Betty) Hoagland, Danville, Ill.; three
sisters, Alvina Van Pelt, Bismarck, Ill.; Kathryn (Shirley) Hines, Covington;
Helen VanLeer, Yucca Valley, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a nephew and a niece. Memorial
services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Covington United Methodist
Church, with the Rev. Allen Phillips officiating. Burial of cremains will be in
Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. There will be no visitation. DeVerter Brothers
Funeral Home, Cayuga, is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made
to the family for arrangements or to the Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 777
South Main St., Clinton, Ind. 47842. – jlr
