DANVILLE, ILL. — Funeral services for Carl L. Hite, age 70, of 831 E. Madison St., Danville, who died unexpectedly at his home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Edmund & Dickson Funeral Home here. The Rev. C. M. Read officiated and burial was in Johnson Cemetery. Mr. Hite, whose death was attributed to a heart attack, was born June 18, 1895, at Yeddo, the son of Erasmus and Lula Renicker Hite. He was a barber and formerly operated a shop at 3725 N. Vermilion, retiring nine years ago. He was married in 1913 to Mary Jones, who preceded him in death in 1919. He was married Jan. 26, 1921, in Danville, to Lula Swisher, who survives. Also surviving are: two sons, George M. Hite of Danville and Marvin Jones of Martinsville, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. William (Frances) Schaefer of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Clarence Hite of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hutts of Veedersburg, Ind., Mrs. Ruby Clark of Hillsboro, Ind., and Mrs. Leona Cook of Kingman, Ind.; his mother, Mrs. Lula Hite of Danville; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. --typed by Walt W
