Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hinton have been notified that their son Pfc Eldon Hinton was Killed In Action in Germany Feb 24 (1945),. He had previously been reported as missing since that date. Pfc. Hinton was 27 years old Feb 22 two days before his death. Prior to his induction on Oct 12, 1942 he was employed at the Harrison Steel Castings Co. He had been overseas a year. He was twice wounded in action during his service. He is survived by the parents, one sister, Mrs. Edna Christenberry of Cleveland, OH; a half sister Miss Delphia Hinton of Washington DC and two brothers, Everett Hinton of Willliamsport and Robert Hinton with the US Army in Oklahoma. - kbz
