George Everett Hinote, age 27, a former Veedersburg resident, died at the Rose Lawn Community Hospital in Chicago from injuries suffered at work on Monday, June 7. It was his first day on the job. He was born Feb. 5, 1938, in Rockville, the son of Oscar and Gwendolyn McGown Hinote. He was married to the former Patsy Uplinger. He was an ex-Navy service man and had served in Korea. He had been a truck driver until last week when he took a new job in Chicago. He and his family moved to Chicago last week and Monday was his first day on his new job. Mr. Hinote is survived by: his wife; one son, George Jr., and a daughter, April, both at home; four brothers, Edward of Veedersburg, Tom of Chicago, and Steven and Timothy, both of Kingman; three sisters, Mrs. Carmilita Vanote of Veedersburg, Miss Sidoyne Hinote of Chicago and Miss Deabra Hinote of Kingman. The body was taken to the Sever Mortuary Chapel on the Hill, Veedersburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Lowell Barnard will officiate and burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery, south of Veedersburg on US-41. --typed by Walt W
