NEW RICHMOND — Mrs. Madge W. (Morrison) Hinman, 80, died unexpectedly at 4:30 a.m. Saturday in her home here. She had not been ill. Born and reared at Cutler, she was married in 1908 to the late Jesse D. Hinman. She had lived here since 1914. She was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star here, and a member of the Cutler Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Byron Alexander of New Richmond, and a sister, Mrs. Maude Curran of Friendship. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday at Helms Funeral Home, Linden. Services there at 10:30 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Robert Hayden officiating; interment in New Richmond Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana. The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.
NEWTOWN — Funeral services for Mrs. Madge Hinman, age 80, a former Newtown resident, were held last week in Linden. The Rev. Robert Hayden officiated and burial was in the New Richmond Cemetery. The Hinmans formerly operated a restaurant here. She was born Dec. 7, 1884 at Cutler and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She was a past matron of the New Richmond Order of Eastern Star. She was married Dec. 26, 1908 Jesse Hinman, who preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Byron Alexander of New Richmond, and one sister, Mrs. Maude Curran of Friendship. --typed by Walt W
