HILLYER, Alice Eyestone

Alice Eyestone Hillyer, 76, 543 State Road 28 East, Williamsport, died at Community Hospital, Williamsport, at 7:32 p. m. Thursday, July 24, where she had been in failing health several years. She was born in Ogden, Ill. June 28, 1910, the daughter of Oscar L. and Oda B. Hiller Eyestone. She graduated from Rossville, Ill. High School and attended Purdue University and business schools. She had lived in Rossville, Ill. Before moving to Williamsport in 1936. She was married in 1944, in Williamsport, to Kenneth A. Hillyer, who preceded her in death in 1980. She and her husband were co-owners and operators of Held Abstract Company for many years. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 162, West Lebanon. Surviving are one stepson, Wayne Hillyer, Williamsport; one brother, Robert Eyestone, Williamsport; one nephew, BB Eyestone, Jr., Williamsport; two stepgrandchildren, three great-stepgrandchildren; four great nephews; two great-great-nieces and one great-great nephew. There will be no visitation or funeral services. Love and memory may best be expressed by memorial contributions to Community Hospital or your favorite charity. Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport, was in charge of arrangements.
