Attica – Bret C Hiller, 35, of Indianapolis, formerly of Attica died Friday, Dec 17, 2004 in his residence. He had been ill for the past year with pancreatitis. Born Aug 20, 1969 in Indianapolis, he was raised in Attica and graduated from Attica HS in 1988. He attended the University of Evansville for four years. Mr. Hiller worked as a mental health technical for Lafayette Counseling Services and later for Wabash Valley Hospital. He previously worked as a surveillance officer for the Fountain County Community Corrections. For the past four years, he had lived in Indianapolis and was studying for his pharmacy technician’s certificate at Ivy Tech State College. He was a member of Attica First United Methodist Church, member of the Moose Lodge 1482 of Attica. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed movies and blues music. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Nancy Marie Helmerick and Robert Howard of Attica; his father, Gary Dean Hiller of McDonough, Ga; a brother, Brad Hiller (wife; Kelly) of Mooresville; three stepsisters, Angela Phillips (husband Tim) of Williamsport; Candi Little of Attica and Mary Fink (husband: Clint) of Williampsort and a stepbrother, Robert Howard of Scottsdale, Ariz. - kbz
