VEEDERSBURG -- James T. Hill, age 81, died at 3 p. m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at his home here. He had been in failing health the past three months. Mr. Hill was born Feb. 6, 1882, near Knoxville, Tenn., one of eight children born to Isac Newton and Lucy Baker Hill. He was married twice. He first was married to Trixie Harden of Covington, who preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Myrtle Ansberry of Veedersburg. As a young man, Mr. Hill moved to Crawfordsville where he was employed by the New York Central Railroad. He served as a bridge foreman and at the time of his retirement, about 14 years go, was supervisor of bridges and buildings in the railroad's Peoria and Eastern Division. He was employed by the railroad 48 1/2 years. He was a member of Knights Templar No. 25 at Crawfordsville.
