ATTICA — Funeral services for James S. Hill, age 40, a former area resident, who died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, at the Tucson, Ariz., Medical Clinic, were held Thursday afternoon at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated and burial was in the Rainsville Cemetery. He was born Dec. 28, 1925, in Warren County, the son of Harley and Catherine Balser Hill. He was married July 26, 1947 to Donna Gephart, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Hill was a graduate of Williamsport High School and Purdue University. He received his master's degree in agricultural economics at the University of Arizona. He taught at Coal Creek High School in Montgomery County for five years. He had been employed as a state agricultural statistician in Arizona and was doing research at the University of Arizona. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: one son, David, and a daughter, Laveda Kay, both at home; two brothers, Rupert of Boswell and Cleon of Brookston; and three sisters, Mrs. Edwin Johnson of Pompano Beach, Fla., Mrs. Robert Smith of Lafayette and Mrs. Ora Trent of Hoopeston, Ill. --typed by Walt W
