Tom Hightower, 88, a retired farmer residing in Hillsboro, died today (Jan. 10, 1975) at the Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville. Born Sept. 20, 1886, in Fountain County, he was the son of Tom and Rebecca Pearson Hightower. He was married Oct. 7, 1908, to Iva Kennedy, who died Sept. 16, 1962. Mr. Hightower was a 50 year member of the Waynetown Odd Fellows Lodge and Masonic Lodge 385. He also was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Parvin (Edith) Furr of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ralph (Mary) Snyder of Hillsboro; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Zeigler of Crawfordsville; a brother, Alfred of Wingate; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with masonic memorial services there at 7 p.m. Sunday. – jlr

Hightower, 88, Hillsboro, a retired farmer, died today in Ben Hur Nursing Home
at Crawfordsville. He was a 50-year member of Hillsboro Lodge 385 F & AM
and Oddfellows Lodge at Waynetown. He was also a member of Prairie Chapel
Church. Born Sept. 20, 1886, in Fountain County, he was a son of John and
