Lee Roy High, age 83, of Cayuga, a former resident of the Covington community, died Sunday, Dec. 18, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient one week. Mr. High was born May 5, 1883, in State Line, the son of Ephrim and Lillie White High. He was married to Rose Church, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of the Lodi Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Alvie and William, both of Cayuga; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Jaenike of Crete, Ill., and Mrs. Martha Rose Overstreet of Chowchilla, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Miller, Mrs. Ina Wright and Mrs. Iva Clem, all of State Line; 18 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi. The Rev. John Myers officiated and burial was in the State Line Cemetery. --typed by Walt W
