HICKS, Winfield S. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Winfield S. Hicks, 63, former area resident died Saturday morning in his home at Mountain Side, NJ apparently of a heart attack.  Mr. Hicks was born west of Tangier in Fountain County and had resided at Kingman.  He moved to New Jersey 12 years ago from Chicago.  He was a graduate of Tangier HS and Kokomo Business college.  Mr. Hicks was employed as a purchasing agent for FW Woolworth stores of all specialties.  He was a member of the Baptist Church in New Jersey, Masonic Lodge at Chicago and North Riverside Country Club at Chicago.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  Surviving are the wife, Louise and one son, Ronald; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Joyce Maxey of Brookfield, Ill and the father, Flaud Hicks of Attica.   ~~~Transcribed and Type by kbz
