Mellott news – Olive Hicks, the 12-year-old daughter of Ira Hicks and wife died at their home here at an early hour Sunday morning after a lingering illness of that dread disease, consumption. The funeral was conducted at the home at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Dry Run cemetery, 3 miles east of Mellott. --kbz
