HICKMAN, Ruby Martin - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ruby Ethel Hickman of RR 1, Attica, age 93, died Tuesday, August 23, at the home of her daughter, Carolyn Stafford, where she had lived the past three years. She was born in a log cabin near her residence, October 9, 1892, the daughter of Frank and Carrie Florey Martin. March 9, 1940, she married Charles Wesley Hickman, who died August 13, 1964. Mrs. Hickman was a member of Newtown Community Church and had attended Valparaiso University, where she majored in music.

  Surviving with the daughter are a sister, Avis Sheridan of RR 1, Attica; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

  Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Don Watson officiating. Burial was in the Green Bay Cemetery.-s
