HIBBS, Laurel

Heart failure caused the death of Laurel Hibbs, 37 found dead in bed at his home near here at 8:30 a.m. Monday according to Charles E. Fishero, county coroner. Mr. Hibbs was single and resided alone at a service station which he operated on Rt 41, 7 miles north of Veedersburg. The body was discovered by Mrs. Bane Hancock who went to the service station and food store for groceries. Mr. Hibbs was born in 1909 in Mellott son of Hurley and Jessie Parkinson Hibbs. He leaves his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Mercedes Banta and Mrs. Merle McCreary, Indianapolis; a half sister Mrs. Esther Weaver, Kingman and a brother, Beul, Attica. Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the North Christian Church, Mellott with interment in Union Cemetery, Fishero Funeral Home were in charge. -kz
