KINGMAN — Layton R. Hetrick, 58, died at 11:06 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2000 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute. He was born Jan. 13, 1942 in Kingman, the son of Elmer E. and Paggy Ingram Hetrick Hollingsworth. He married Janet Sipes July 4, 1981 in the Kingman Community Church, who survives. He was previously married to Ramona Delp and Paula Walters. He was a 1960 graduate of Kingman High School. He was a mechanic and involved in the timber business. He enjoyed working. He was a member of the Kingman Masonic Lodge, Shriners and past fire chief for the Kingman Fire Department. Survivors, besides the wife, include: his mother of Bloomingdale; a son, Tim (Shari) Hetrick, Catlin, Ill.; three daughters, Tammy Hetrick, Terre Haute, Shelley Hetrick, Danville, Ill. and Heidi Hetrick, Springfield, Ill.; a step son, Phil (Connie) Collins, Wallace; a step daughter, Lisa (Bret) Cook, Kingman; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Christan, Tawna, Jennifer, Emily, Allyson and Austin; two brothers, Donald Hetrick and Allen (Linda) Hetrick, Tangier; two step brothers, Harold and Dale Hollingsworth; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a step father, Stanley Hollingsworth. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Kingman Community Church with the Rev. Glenn Ray Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery, Kingman.
