Blanche
LaVaugn (Gordon) Foster Hesterman, 82, 103 W. Market St., Hillsboro, died
unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996. Born in Joliet, Ill., on
March 7, 1914, she was the daughter of Harry and Maud (Holland) Gordon. She was
first married to Francis Foster on Oct. 10, 1934 in Joliet. She later married
Walter Hesterman in 1947. Both husbands preceded her in death. Mrs. Hesterman
was a graduate of Joliet Township High School and Joliet Conservatory of Music.
She had lied in Joliet until 1984, when she moved to Hillsboro. She was a
member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Hillsboro Harmony Club, Hillsboro
Euchre Club, Hillsboro Heritage Senior Citizens Club and former board member
for the Hillsboro Community Van. Surviving, are: one son, Gordon W. Foster of
Hillsboro; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two
stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild. Visitation
on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Service there on
Friday with Rev. Hugh Reynolds officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery,
Hillsboro. – jlr
