Mrs. Fern Hesler, 23, wife of Ralph Hesler residing north of Hillsboro died suddenly about 6:30 o’clock Wednesday morning of last week of hemorrhage, believed to have been caused by getting a small bone in her throat, the bone puncturing a blood vessel. On the previous Thursday, while eating a piece of meat at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Williams, residing in Hillsboro, Mrs. Hesler choked, supposedly on a small sliver of bone in the meat. A doctor was immediately summoned but the bone could not be removed although she was given some relief. The next day she was taken to her home but her condition was not considered serious. Early on Wednesday morning she suffered a hemorrhage and died in a short time. Mrs. Hesler was prominent in social affairs of the Hillsboro vicinity. She was a graduate of the Hillsboro HS of the class of 1913. The deceased is survived by her husband, one daughter, Eileen Janet, age 2 by her parents and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Grace Tinley of Indianapolis; Mrs. Florence Tinsley of Hillsboro; the Misses Mary and Ruthleen Williams, and Charles Williams, residing at home. One brother was killed overseas during the world war. - kbz
