HERSHBERGER, Lavina Carter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Kingman-- Lavina M. Hershberger, 83, died Thursday at 2 p.m. at her home near Yeddo. She was the last survivors of a family of 11. She was born in Orange County January 22, 1868 the daughter of William B. and Mylinda Lamdin Carter. She married Clifford Hershberger who preceded her in death on May 2, 1941. A member of the Freedom Christian Church she also belonged to the Eastern Star at Yeddo and Centennial Cemetery league. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lola Spragg of Kingman and one granchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Centennial church near Yeddo with Rev. Alfred Dobbs of Sterling in charge. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the services. Friends may call at the residence after 1 p.m. Friday. Burial in Centennial Cemetery. -- kbz
