Veedersburg – Mrs. Pearl E. Helper, 78 died at her home at Veedersburg at 7 a.m. Saturday. She had been ill two years, seriously for three months. Born at Streator, Ill she was married to Bert Minnick who died in 1938 and Charles Helper who also preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in Veedersburg where she was a member of the First Christian Church and Veedersburg War Mothers chapter. She is survived by a son, George Minnick of Veedersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Gross of Veedersburg and Mrs. Mary Combs of Sacramento, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Helms of Veedersburg and Mrs. Dessa Mortimore of South Bend and two brothers, Ray Fuery South Bend and Roy Fuery of Attica. --kbz
