Mr. David Wesley Hepler was born March 6, 1853 in Davidson County NC; moved with his parents to Fountain County, Indiana in 1863; was united in marriage to Miss Laura Swan Oct1, 1882. To this union were born 9 children, six boys and three girls. Two boys and one girl have preceded him to the grave. He leaves an aged companion, six children – Clarence, James, David, Addison, Miss Emmie and Mrs. Dora Pugh, four grandchildren, one brother, Mr. Addison Helper of Kingman, Ind also other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his death. Mr. Hepler professed faith in Christ in 1892 and united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Troy, Tenn in which he continued a faithful member until death called him home. To the grief stricken family, we extend our heartfelt sympathy and point them to One who is able to heal all wounds, lighten all burden and surely will sustain you all in this sad hour. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Walden Stigler Sunday morning Nov 26, 1922 at Old Fremont where he was laid to rest. Poem
