Charles Hepler, 78, a retired farmer of the Veedersburg community and a life long county resident died Tuesday afternoon at the Lake View Hospital in Danville where he was admitted last week as a surgical patient. Mr. Hepler was born on a farm near Veedersburg, April 10, 1875, the son of William and Harriet Corey Hepler. He was married first to Myrtle Anglin who preceded him in death and was later married to Pearl Minnick, who survives. Also surviving is a brother, albert of Urbana, Ill and a sister, Mrs. Laura Price of Veedersburg and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Rev. JS Pritchard officiating. Burial was in Campbell-Hepler cemetery south of Veedersburg. – kbz

Charles HEPLER was born April 10, 1875 at Steam Corner, Fountain County, Indiana the son of William and Harriet Corey Hepler. He was married Nov 25, 1896 to Myrtle Angelin. One child, Grace Emily died in infancy was born to them Aug 9, 1898. Myrtle Hepler died Fe 15, 1938. Charles Hepler was united in marriage on Feb 28, 1940 to Pearl Fewry Minick in Sterling Indiana by Rev. Charles Howard. He is survived by his wife, Pearl; one brother, Albert Hepler of Champaign, Illinois; one sister, Laura Price of Veedersburg; four nephews, Gordon and Lewis Hepler; Chester and Wayne Douglas; one niece, Mrs. Florence Reece; six cousins, five in Tennessee and Jim Helper of Kingman, Ind. – kbz
