Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

VEEDERSBURG -- Oscar Henthorn, 85, died at his trailer home in Veedersburg Thursday afternoon. Mr. Henthorn was a retired laborer and had worked as a watchman for Conrons Hardware Store in Danville, Ill. He was a member of the Waveland Masonic Lodge and the Freedom Baptist Church near Waveland. Born June 30, 1886, at Collison, Ill., he was the son of Alvin J. and Martha Rouse Henthorn. He was married to Mary Nicholi. Survivors include two son, Edward Henthorn of Patchogue, N.Y., and Albert Henthorn of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a half-sister of Chicago. Mr. Henthorn was preceded in death by two sons. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. Rev. Omar Walters will officiate. Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery near Waveland. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today.  --typed by Walt W
