HENSON, Edmon Martin

Edmon Martin Henson, 76, Lebanon, died unexpectedly at Witham Memorial Hospital, December 7, after being admitted.
  He was born March 31, 1907, the son of Roswell Goodwin and Melissa Martin Henson. He married Nadine Clark Martin in Rockville August 24, 1928, who survives. Other survivors include three children, Mrs. Robert Clifton of Howell, Michigan, Jan G. Henson of Lebanon and Perry D. Henson of East Detroit, Michigan; two stepchildren, Jack C. Martin of Covington and Mrs. Jenne Alys Hare of Frankfort; one brother, Richard Henson of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Bell of Hermitage, Tennessee and Mrs. Albert Koerber of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; ten grandchildren, five step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert P. Henson.
  Henson was reared and educated in Covington where he worked for his father in the cleaning business. He then went to Milliken Cleaners in Danville, Illinois before moving to Hammond in 1930, where he worked for Hubbard Steel. In 1933 they moved to Detroit and worked in cleaning until they acquired their own store and operated the cleaning establishment until retiring in 1972, having owned it for 32 years. They moved to Lebanon in December 1976 and during that time he worked part-time for Modern Cleaners.
  Burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, following cremation. Myers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. -s-
