Julia M. Hendrickson,
88, of Danville, Illinois, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2000 at
Provena USMC, Logan Campus. Born June 30, 1912 in Covington, she was the
daughter of the late Flava Lloyd and Myrtle (Rodgers) Tittle. Her marriage was
to Brooks L. Hendrickson on January 28, 1933 in Champaign, Ill. He preceded her
in death in 1997. Surviving, are: one son, Roger B. (Sue) Hendrickson of
Naperville, Ill; two granddaughters, Kelly Hendrickson and Carol (Patrick)
Durava; two great-granddaughters, Molly and Caroline Durava; two sisters, Mary
Louise Hick and Gladys Hauk, both of Danville. She was also preceded in death by
a sister, Alice Rhodes. Mrs. Hendrickson attended Lincoln Grade and Danville
High schools. She was the division manager of Sears and retired in June of1977.
She attended St. James United Methodist Church and was a member of the Danville
Chapter Order of Eastern Star, Women of Moose 1001, St. James Methodist Women’s
Circle and Women’s Singers of Danville. She enjoyed hunting mushrooms and loved
her family. Visitation from Noon to 1 p.m. (Illinois time) Thursday at Pape
Memorial Home & Gardens, prior to service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Russell Smith
officiating. Interment in Spring Hill Cemetery. – jlr
