Veedersburg, Ind April 14 – Washington Helms, 90, died at 3 o’clock this morning at the home of his son, Veeder Helm here.   The deceased was the son of George and Eliza Helms.  He was born near here and spent his entire life in this vicinity.  He was the last of a family of 11 children.  His wife, Margaret preceded him in death 12 years ago.  Two daughters, Mrs. Edna Sample of Yeddo and Mrs. Anna Reath of Veedersburg and five sons, Veeder, Vernon, Monroe, Charles and Hardy all of Veedersburg survive. Funeral services will be held at 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Bonebrake Church. The Rev. MF Dawson of Marion, Ind will have charge of the services. Burial will be in the Bonebrake Cemetery.
