Mrs. Margaret Helms, aged 70, wife of Washington Helms, a well known farmer living near Veedersburg, died at her home Tuesday evening after a lingering illness with dropsy. Mrs. Helms had lived in that vicinity for many years and was well known. She leaves besides her aged husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ora Sample and Mrs. John Reath also six sons, Monroe, Veeder, Deal and Vernon who live in the vicinity, two sons, Hardy and Charles are at present in the army. Charles arrived home the day before his mother’s death for a three days’ furlough. No funeral arrangements have been completed, awaiting the arrive of her son, Hardy from Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
