Mrs. Ida E. Helms, 70 of 513 North St, died at 11 a.m. Sunday July 9, 1978 at Lakeview Medical Center. She had been a patient two weeks. Born Dec 31, 1907 in Silverwood, she was the daughter of Oscar and Olivia Pascal McElwee. On July 12, 1925 she was marr. to Russell Helms who died in 1965. She was a member of the Freedom Christian Church in Wallace. Surv include a son, Eugene Helms of C'ville; five daughters, Mrs. Russell (Lois) hand of Vbrg; Mrs. Wlater (Ruth) Kerns of Covgington Rt 2; Mrs. Billy (Lucille) Clawson of Veedersburg; Mrs. James (Mary Jane0 Hendrick of Newtown and Mrs. Billy (Beverly) Dennis of Veedersburg; 28 grandch; and 13 greats. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wed at Parham Funeral Home with Rev. Cloyd Kyger officiating. Burial in Bonebrake Cemetery.
