Veedersburg – Gordon Helms, 14, died Thursday evening in Lake View Hospital Danville, Ill of a fractured skull which he suffered last Monday evening when kicked by a mule at the home of his uncle, Veeder Helms, near here. The uncle found the lad unconscious. The boy was born here March 13, 1914 a son of Estel and Deal Helms, the father died a few years ago. A coroner’s inquest was set for Monday. – kbz
